Gather around the fire, wherever you are
Long ago, families sat around the fire at night and the old stories were passed on. The Fireplace brings that back: a live voice gathering for your family or group, led by an elder, a parent or a leader.
- Invite your peoplePick a time, share one invite link, and everyone gets a reminder. The host decides who speaks.
- Live, voice onlyNo cameras and nothing to set up. Just pull up a chair, listen, and share a memory if you like.
- Keep it, only with consentThe host can record the gathering. Everyone is told first, and the recording is kept with your family’s stories.
- A weekly listening hourSet a regular time for the family to listen together, so the stories become a habit.
Know where every voice comes from
Add a Story Name and your roots, so your stories carry where you come from, not just who you are.
- Clan or family lineName the family line you belong to, and draw your lineage across the generations.
- Ancestral homeAdd the place your family comes from, and tag stories with the roots they belong to.
- A journey line of placesMark the towns and cities your family has lived in along the way, and see them on a roots map.
- People who share your rootsFind others from the same family line or home place, and hear their stories too.
- Private, detail by detailChoose who can see each detail: just you, your family, or everyone.
Each family also gets a Hearth code, like amber-river-42, that makes joining simple.
Closer than a feed, kinder than a follow

Birthdays and family dates

Natural narration
Translated stories are read in a natural voice matched to the story’s country, and always labelled as narration.
A little help, never a fake voice
- A gentle interviewerSuggests the next question while you record, so the story keeps flowing.
- Titles and tags, done for youSuggests a title, a summary and tags for each story. You can change anything.
- Ask the archiveAsk "How did Grandma meet Grandpa?" and hear the stories that answer it.
Anything AI suggests is clearly labelled. AI never copies or fakes anyone's voice, and community stories stay out unless the community opts in.
